Life on the farm has become even more entertaining thanks to our growing (and slightly quirky!) flock of residents. We’re delighted to introduce you to the official cast of characters currently calling the quack shack home:
🦆 The Ducks
We currently have two ducks in total, each with their own charm:
- Aup Me Duck – A lovely female Muscovy duck who brings the most personality the group and always first to investigate new things!
- Unnamed Duck #1 – Another beautiful female muscovy duck brought in as a companion for Aup Me Duck. She’s new to the group and settling in to her environment well.
🐥 MC Chickadee: The Silkie Who Thinks She’s a Duck
Living among the ducks is the beloved MC Chickadee, our Silkie chicken who is absolutely convinced she’s one of them.
Originally believed to be a male, the plot twist arrived when MC started laying eggs — confirming she’s very much a lady! She follows the ducks, naps with the ducks and generally behaves as though “chicken” is just a rumour.
🏡 A Happy, Quirky Family
Together, this little flock brings daily entertainment, unexpected friendships, and a lot of personality to farm life.

🦆 Our Duck Enclosure – Built by Us!
As a team we have created something amazing – our duck enclosure! Lots of you have been helping out, and it’s amazing to see how much we’ve done already. This has now become a special new home for some lucky ducks who have arrived at the farm!
A Fun Moment!
We even had a dog trial out the duck pond!! 🐶💦 It passed the test with flying colours, now we just need the ducks!
